General Moragues
Hero in the War of the Spanish Succession against the French troops, he was born in a farmhouse in Sant Hilari and was working as a farmer when he was involved in the war until he was tried, tortured and killed in 1713. Moragues devoted much of his life to the struggle for Catalan identity and, years later, Sant Hilari Town Council dedicated a monument to him, which is located in one of its squares.

Jaumet del flabiol
Jaumet del Flabiol was born in 1871 in Sant Hilari. Short in stature, wrinkled face, corduroy trousers and the typical Catalan rope soled sandals, he was known for his flabiol (a wind instrument similar to a flageolet). Jaumet was dumb, but this instrument spoke for him. He became the first merchant of Font Vella water by distributing it to the summer residents with his cart full of earthenware pitchers.

Anton Busquets i Punset
Anton Busquets i Punset was born in Sant Hilari Sacalm on 20th October 1876. Named in some cases Antoni Busquets, he was a Catalan poet and writer. He was a polygraph in the strictest sense of the word, as he was a narrator, a poet, a journalist, a pedagogue and a cultural activist. He worked as a teacher in Barcelona and Calders.

Gegants de Sant Hilari (Sant Hilari’s Giants)
Sant Hilari’s Giants represent the historical figures of Bernat de Gurb and Blanca d'Olvan, married in 1326 and lords of Solterra. There are also Josep Moragues, popularly known as General Moragues, and his second wife, Magdalena Giralt.
