Carboners trail

Carboners trail is a route that connects the towns of Sant Hilari and Osor and brings us closer to different natural and cultural places of interest of Sant Hilari and Les Guilleries like the old spa of Font Picant, Serrallonga’s cave, different cascades and a stream pool

It is an itinerary made up of different sections of varying difficulty levels. Greatly the route take advantage of easily accessible forest paths and forest tracks, but there are also sections that follow more complicated steps which are likely to be considered difficult to climb.

Along the way we can access to different points of interest of the natural and cultural heritage of Les Guilleries.

This route will allow us to discover the Riera d’Osor valley, between the municipalities of Sant Hilari Sacalm and Osor, two villages of traditions linked to their natural environment, which are widely represented throughout the itinerary.  The route is located within the protection zone of Natura 2000 Network and the PEIN zone.
The connection between manifestations of such diverse heritage, natural and cultural, make this area an excellent zone to enjoy hiking trails.

It is a high-level route, which can be done in about 2 hours and 45 minutes, is 6.8 km long and has a 379-metre incline. Even so, the route can be fragmented into several sections of different distance and difficulty, all of them indicated.

SECTION 1.1

The section 1.1 of the Carboners trail is a circular route of approximately 4.2 km. It is the shortest version of the three sections.
The route passes through different points of interest such as the Roca Foradada, the Serrallonga cave, a viewpoint of one of the Mas Clavé waterfalls and the Salt Gran de Mas Calvé waterfall.

The route passes through different points of interest such as the Roca Foradada, the Serrallonga cave, a viewpoint of one of the Mas Clavé waterfalls and the Salt Gran de Mas Calvé waterfall.
