The Embruix (The Spell)
It is a cultural event inspired by the legends and the stories of witches and wizards who were found in the forests of Les Guilleries (considered a fantastic place) many centuries ago. The Embruix is celebrated with night performances, and the enigmatic witches’ Sabbath, which is really impressive.
This festival was born in 2009, as a result of the town council and lots of local entities related to the entertainment world. The main aim is to keep all the popular stories related to legends, magic, witches, wizards, goblins…
The main event is called Sàbat de bruixes, guilla que fuig! (Witches’ Sabbath, fleeing fox!). It is a dramatised night tour with final Sabbath, where the main legends of the town are told.
