Sant Miquel Arcàngel

A few years ago, Villavecchia’s owners had a fright on the road leading them home. Still today there is a plaque right at the scene.

Legend has it that, at the end of the 20th century, a carriole was driving Villavecchia’s owners along the main road at dusk. Suddenly, some wolves appeared and, with the light of their eyes, frightened the horses pulling the carriole.

This caused both the carriole and the passengers to fall down the cliff, but fortunately an oak stopped them. Villavecchia’s owners, seeing how near that point was to the mountain called Sant Miquel, raised a plaque in gratitude at that point.
