Restaurant Els Cortals

Els Cortals is a family-run and traditional Catalan cuisine restaurant located in the Pla de les Arenes, a few kilometres away from the town.

It is located in Pla de les Arenes, a quiet place surrounded by nature and animals, just a few kilometres from the village and with very good access from the Eix Transversal.

The restaurant opened in 1979, when their grandparents began to serve those who passed through the only communication route between Vic and Girona. Over the years, the spirit of traditional cuisine has been preserved, and customers who, despite having other means of communication, keep going to the restaurant are served with the same dedication.

Services and spaces

There are playing areas both inside and outside the restaurant, a sandpit for the little ones in the house and a wooden maze. Kids will find plenty of space for outdoor running and animals. The older ones can go for a walk and contemplate the views to enjoy the serenity and peace of the air of Les Guilleries.

There are different rooms too, including a spacious dining room which an ideal place for groups, meetings and celebrations.

They also offer knife-and-fork breakfasts (huge breakfasts, typical from the region, where you can order grilled meat, beans…) accompanied by a good barrel wine, toast and allioli (a garlic and oil dressing, very typical in Catalonia).

On Thursdays and Fridays they propose a daily menu with rice, and at the weekend and holidays they offer a different daily menu, in which you can find some seasonal and local products, such as walnuts from Els Clopés, Serrallonga strawberries and their own potatoes. On the other hand, they offer a children’s menu and also knife-and-fork breakfasts with barrel wine, toast and allioli from 9 am to 11.30 am. Moreover, on the first Saturday of each month, they open from 9pm for dinner and live music.
